GTA Shark Cards Prices: All 5 Cards and What They Buy (2026)

If you play Fortnite, you already know this feeling. You want a skin, you check your V-Bucks, and the game quietly points you toward buying more. GTA Online has the exact same system, it just wears a different name. Instead of V-Bucks you get GTA$, and instead of a V-Bucks pack you buy a Shark Card. I have stared at that Shark Card screen more than once, usually right after seeing a car I could not afford, so let me walk you through what these cards actually cost, what you really get for your money, and the honest question underneath it all: are they worth it, or is the grind a better deal?
What is a Shark Card in GTA Online?
A Shark Card is a cash card you buy with real money in the PlayStation, Xbox or PC store, or through Rockstar’s own store. The GTA$ lands in your character’s Maze Bank account, and you spend it in GTA Online on cars, businesses, properties, weapons and clothes, the same way you spend earned money. There is no separate premium shop and nothing you can only buy with a Shark Card. The card buys one thing only: time. It skips the hours you would have spent earning that money in the game.
That is also why there is no money cheat in GTA 5, something I covered in full in our guide to the GTA 5 money cheat. Shark Cards are the store. A free money code would close that store, so Rockstar was never going to add one.
GTA Shark Card prices in 2026
Here are the current US prices. Regional prices vary, and Rockstar runs bonus promotions from time to time, so always check the amount shown in your own store before you buy.
- Tiger Shark Card: GTA$250,000 for $4.99
- Bull Shark Card: GTA$600,000 for $9.99
- Great White Shark Card: GTA$1,500,000 for $19.99
- Whale Shark Card: GTA$4,250,000 for $49.99
- Megalodon Shark Card: GTA$10,000,000 for $99.99
Look at the pattern, because it matters. The bigger the card, the more GTA$ you get for each dollar. The Tiger gives you roughly 50,000 GTA$ per dollar, while the Megalodon gives you roughly 100,000 per dollar, about double the rate. Rockstar prices it this way on purpose. The small card feels cheap at the checkout, but it is the worst value on the list, and that $4.99 disappears fast. A quarter of a million sounds like a lot until you remember that plenty of cars in this game cost more than that on their own.
What does each card actually buy you in game?
Numbers on a store page mean nothing until you translate them into the game, so here is the rough picture. A Tiger card covers some early spending money, ammo, clothes and small upgrades, but it will not buy you a business. A Bull card gets you closer to a first proper purchase, though you will still be saving. The Great White is where a card starts to feel like a real head start, enough to matter toward a Kosatka submarine for the Cayo Perico heist or a first business setup. The Whale and Megalodon are the skip the early game entirely cards. They can fund businesses and vehicles straight away, which is exactly why they cost as much as a whole new game.
One warning from my own experience: cash burns in GTA Online in a way it does not in most games. A big balance with no businesses behind it is just a pile that shrinks every time something shiny appears in a shop window. Players who buy the Megalodon and spend it all on cars on day one are, in my view, the ones who end up back on this store page a month later.
GTA+ Shark Cards: the 15 percent bonus
If you subscribe to GTA+, Rockstar’s membership at $7.99 a month, member Shark Cards give you 15 percent more GTA$ on top of the normal amount. So a Great White bought as a GTA+ member card pays GTA$1,725,000 instead of GTA$1,500,000, and the Megalodon pays GTA$11,500,000 instead of GTA$10,000,000. GTA+ also drops GTA$500,000 into your Maze Bank account every month on its own, along with rotating member benefits like claimable vehicles and discounts.
Do the maths honestly before you stack the two. The membership only makes sense if you play GTA Online regularly every month and would use the other benefits too. Paying $7.99 a month mainly to get a bonus on a card you buy once is paying more to save less. For a daily player the picture changes, and the monthly GTA$500,000 alone adds up over a year, but a casual player is usually better off with no subscription and no card at all.
Are Shark Cards worth it? My honest take
It depends on what your time is worth, and only you know that number. If you play a couple of hours a week and a business grind would eat your whole month, one Great White to unlock Cayo Perico can genuinely change how the game feels, because that heist then earns you money forever. That is a card buying you an income, not just a car.
But for most players, my answer is still try the free routes first. In our guide on how to make money fast in GTA Online I laid out the stack that works in 2026: free entry work, the Acid Lab as a first business, Cayo Perico as the big payday, and the Nightclub paying in the background. One good week of that stack can out earn the small cards completely, and the money comes with businesses attached, so it keeps coming. A Shark Card gives you a balance. A business gives you a balance every week.
And a safety note that never changes: only buy Shark Cards from the official stores inside your platform or Rockstar’s store. Any website outside those stores promising cheap GTA$ or free Shark Cards is the same scam family as the fake money generators. At best you lose your money. At worst you lose your account.
GTA Shark Cards FAQ
How much is a Shark Card in GTA Online? There are five cards. The Tiger is $4.99 for GTA$250,000, the Bull is $9.99 for GTA$600,000, the Great White is $19.99 for GTA$1,500,000, the Whale is $49.99 for GTA$4,250,000, and the Megalodon is $99.99 for GTA$10,000,000, at US prices.
Which Shark Card is the best value? The Megalodon gives the most GTA$ per dollar, roughly double the rate of the smallest Tiger card. Best value per dollar is not the same as best for you, though. Buy only what you have a plan for in game.
Is GTA$ the same as V-Bucks? They play the same role. V-Bucks are Fortnite’s paid currency and GTA$ is GTA Online’s currency, bought through Shark Cards. The difference is that GTA$ is also earned in large amounts through normal gameplay, heists and businesses.
Do Shark Cards work in GTA 5 story mode? No. Shark Cards are for GTA Online only. Story mode money comes from missions, robberies and the Lester stock market trick.
Will GTA 6 have Shark Cards? Rockstar has not confirmed GTA 6 Online or its currency yet. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A similar card system would surprise nobody, given how central it is to GTA Online, but treat anything you read about GTA 6 cards as unconfirmed until Rockstar says it.
So the short version looks like this. Shark Cards are GTA’s V-Bucks, sold in five sizes from $4.99 to $99.99, with better rates the more you spend and a 15 percent bonus if you are a GTA+ member. They are a fair deal only when they buy you an income, like unlocking a heist or a first business. Bought just to spend, they melt. GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide: Where to Buy, Which Edition and the Bonus Deadline

GTA 6 pre-orders have been open since June 25, 2026, and with launch 35 days away, the questions have shifted from “how much” to “okay, how do I actually do this properly?” Which store, which edition, digital or physical, and what is this bonus deadline people keep mentioning? This guide answers all of it in order, with no fluff and no affiliate nonsense, just the steps.
I pre-ordered the Standard Edition digitally, and by the end of this page you will know exactly why, and whether the same choice makes sense for you.
Where to pre-order GTA 6
GTA 6 is available to pre-order on the PlayStation Store (PS5), the Microsoft Store (Xbox Series X|S), the Rockstar Store, and major games retailers for the physical edition. Pre-orders on Rockstar’s own store are limited to one per customer. There is no PC version to pre-order anywhere, and no other platforms exist for this launch.
Prices are the same story everywhere official: $79.99 for Standard, $99.99 for Ultimate in the US. If you see a listing priced very differently, especially higher, you are looking at a reseller, not a deal.
Step one: pick your edition
Standard Edition, $79.99: the complete game and story. Nothing cut. This is the right choice for most players.
Ultimate Edition, $99.99: the game plus exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, a second garage, a car restoration activity and exclusive shops. Digital only. Standard owners can upgrade later, so this is not a now or never decision.
The full side by side, regional prices included, lives on our GTA 6 price page. And a warning worth repeating: the $399.99 Vice City Collection is merchandise, not a game edition. It does not include GTA 6.
Step two: digital or physical?
Here is the twist of this launch: both routes end at the same download. The physical edition’s box contains a download code, not a disc. Physical copies reach shops on November 12 so you can redeem the code early.
So the choice is really about the shelf, not the game. Want a box on display and the option to lend the code unopened? Physical. Want zero friction and the game tied to your account forever? Digital. The game itself, and the pre-load date, are identical.
Step three: order before November 20
Every pre-order placed before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack free: a classic Vapid Stanier, a garage, retro outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and an exclusive weapon pattern. Digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+ for the existing GTA Online.
Rockstar says the bonus pack will not be available after launch, so this deadline is the one genuinely time-sensitive part of pre-ordering. Miss it and the pack is gone, not just delayed.
Step four: pre-load on November 12
Pre-loading opens November 12, 2026, a week before launch, for digital copies and redeemed physical codes alike. Do it. Launch nights are famous for millions of people downloading at once, and the players who pre-loaded are the ones actually playing at unlock while everyone else watches a progress bar. The countdown and every key date are on our GTA 6 release date page.
Should you pre-order at all? My honest take
Digital games do not sell out, so pre-ordering is never about securing a copy. The real reasons are exactly two: the Vintage Vice City Pack, and walking into November 19 pre-loaded and ready. If neither matters to you, waiting for reviews costs you nothing, and I will never pretend otherwise on this site.
For me, twenty years of waiting made the decision. Standard, digital, ordered, bonus locked, pre-load scheduled. See you in Leonida.
Quick questions

The PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store, and major retailers for the physical edition. There is no PC pre-order.
What is the GTA 6 pre-order bonus?
The Vintage Vice City Pack, free with orders placed before November 20, 2026. Digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+.

When can I pre-load GTA 6?
From November 12, 2026, one week before the November 19 launch.
Standard or Ultimate?

GTA 6 on PC: Release Date Status and What Rockstar Has Actually Said

Let me save you the searching, PC players, because I am one of you at heart: Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. There is no GTA 6 PC release date, no Steam page, no pre-order, nothing. The game launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Everything else you have read with a specific PC date attached is somebody guessing, and in the worst cases, somebody scamming.
This page is the honest status, kept updated: what Rockstar has actually said, what the studio’s own history suggests about the wait, and how to spot the fake PC pages that are already multiplying.
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
What Rockstar has said about GTA 6 on PC
Nothing. That is the whole answer. Every official GTA 6 announcement, the trailers, the August 2026 extended look, the June 2026 price and pre-order reveal, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC is not mentioned as a launch platform, a later platform, or anything else. The official stores taking pre-orders, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Rockstar’s own store, have no PC edition to sell you.
Silence is not a no forever. Rockstar almost never announces the PC version of a game alongside the console launch. But as of today, October 15, 2026, a PC version is unannounced, and anyone telling you a month and year is writing fiction.
What Rockstar’s history suggests
History is not a promise, but it is the only pattern we have, so here it is, labelled clearly as pattern, not news.
GTA 5 launched on consoles in September 2013 and arrived on PC in April 2015, roughly a year and a half later. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on consoles in October 2018 and reached PC in November 2019, roughly a year later. If GTA 6 follows the family tradition, PC players could be waiting somewhere around a year or more after November 2026. Could be shorter, could be longer, could theoretically never be announced until it suddenly is. That is genuinely all anyone outside Rockstar knows.
Watch out for fake GTA 6 PC pages
This part matters. Search “GTA 6 PC download” or “GTA 6 Steam key” today and you will find pages selling keys for a game that does not exist on PC, and downloads that are malware wearing a Vice City jacket. There is no PC version to download, no key to buy, and no beta. If a site asks for money, card details or a download for GTA 6 on PC before Rockstar announces one, close the tab. The real announcement will be on Rockstar’s own channels and impossible to miss.
Your options as a PC player
Wait, with eyes open. The likeliest outcome, based on history, is a PC release well after launch. Our GTA 6 news page will carry the announcement the day it exists.
Play on console. If November 19 matters to you, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S is the way in, and our GTA 6 price page and release date page cover editions and the countdown.
Keep an eye on streaming. Our coverage of the GTA 6 Xbox Cloud Gaming story explains what has been said about playing through the cloud, which may matter to players without a current console.
And protect your current rig’s honour: GTA 5 with mods is still the best waiting room in gaming. You know where the cheat codes live on this site.
Quick questions
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Launch platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
What is the GTA 6 PC release date?
There is none. No PC date has been announced, and any specific date you see online is a guess.
When will GTA 6 come to PC, realistically?
Unknown. Rockstar’s history (GTA 5 took about 19 months, Red Dead Redemption 2 about 13) suggests a long wait if the pattern holds, but nothing is confirmed.
Can I pre-order GTA 6 on Steam?
No. There is no Steam page and no PC pre-order. Sites selling PC keys today are scams.
Are the GTA 6 PC system requirements out?
No. No PC version exists to have requirements. Any “official requirements” list online is invented.

GTA 6 Map: Every Confirmed Leonida Region, From Vice City to Mount Kalaga

Every GTA player I know has asked the same two questions since the first trailer: where exactly are we going, and how big is it? The where, we can now answer properly. GTA 6 is set in Leonida, Rockstar’s version of Florida, and Rockstar has officially named six regions: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga.
The how big part needs honesty, and this site does honesty: Rockstar has not published an exact map size, and the complete map images all over social media are fan reconstructions stitched together from trailers, clever but not official. So this page sticks to what is confirmed, region by region, and labels the rest as unknown.
Vice City: the heart of Leonida
Vice City is back, Rockstar’s take on Miami and the urban centre of the whole state. Neon, beaches, art deco oceanfront hotels, nightclubs and crowded streets are all over the trailers. If you played the original Vice City, parts of this will feel like coming home, just built at modern scale. This is where Lucia and Jason’s story keeps circling back to, and it is safe to expect the densest missions and side activities here.
The Leonida Keys: island life down south
South of the mainland sit the Leonida Keys, the game’s version of the Florida Keys: a chain of tropical islands linked by long bridges over open water. Expect boats, fishing and long sunset drives with sea on both sides. The trailers lean hard into this area’s laid back, anything goes energy, the perfect contrast to Vice City’s noise just up the road.
Grassrivers: the swamps
Grassrivers is Leonida’s Everglades: wide wetlands, tall grass, mud and water everywhere, with alligators to match. Wildlife is clearly a big part of this region’s identity in everything Rockstar has shown, and airboats were simply made for country like this. The swamp is not decoration, it is a place you travel through and get chased in.
Port Gellhorn: the coast that has seen better days
Port Gellhorn is a coastal town, and of the six regions it is the one Rockstar has said the least about so far. What the trailers show is a rougher, more run down strip than Vice City’s postcard beaches: motels, bars and a working town feel. I am listing it plainly because that is the deal here: the name and coastal setting are confirmed, the detail of what we will do there is not, and this section gets updated when Rockstar shows more.
Ambrosia: the state’s working heartland
Ambrosia is Leonida’s rural heartland, far from the neon. Rockstar has shown the least gameplay here, but its place on the named list matters: it tells you this map is not one city with suburbs. A crime story needs its quiet back roads and out of the way meeting spots, and Ambrosia looks built for exactly that.
Mount Kalaga: the wild north
Up near Leonida’s northern border sits Mount Kalaga, the state’s wild country: hills, forest and trails instead of streets. Every GTA map needs its escape from the city, the place you drive to when the wanted level and the noise get too much, and Mount Kalaga is clearly Leonida’s. A named mountain region also confirms the map stretches to a state border. This is a full state, not a city island.
How big is the GTA 6 map, honestly?
Rockstar has not given an official size, in square kilometres or any other unit, and has not published an official comparison with GTA 5’s map. Anyone quoting you an exact figure is estimating, usually from fan maps. What is fair to say: six named regions spanning a city, island chains, swamps, farmland coast and mountain wilderness adds up to Rockstar’s most varied map ever, and the full official map reveal is still to come.
What Rockstar has not confirmed about the map
The full official map: not released. The detailed maps circulating online come from the fan mapping project. Brilliant work, still fan work.
Exact size: no official figure exists, and no verified “times bigger than GTA 5” number either.
Every location: six regions are named. The towns, interiors and hidden spots inside them are unrevealed, deliberately.
Quick questions
What is the GTA 6 map called?
The state is Leonida, Rockstar’s version of Florida, with Vice City as its main city.
How many regions does Leonida have?
Six confirmed: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga.
How big is the GTA 6 map compared to GTA 5?
Rockstar has not published an official size or comparison. Claims of an exact size are estimates, mostly built on fan maps.
Has the full GTA 6 map been released or leaked?
No official full map exists yet. The detailed maps online are fan made from trailers and screenshots.
When can we play it?
GTA 6 launches Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Our GTA 6 release date page has the countdown and key dates, the GTA 6 price page breaks down both editions, and while the countdown runs, our GTA 5 cheat codes list will keep Los Santos busy.
