How to Get Free V-Bucks in Fortnite: Legit Ways That Actually Work (2026)

Let me save you some pain right at the start. If a website is promising you 10,000 free V-Bucks after you type in your username and complete a “quick human verification”, it is lying to you. I have seen friends lose whole accounts to pages like that, accounts with skins they had collected for years. Gone in one bad login.
So this guide is the honest version. There is no magic button that fills your account with V-Bucks, and anyone who tells you otherwise wants something from you. But there ARE real ways to earn V-Bucks without paying full price, and right now there are also some genuinely free skins and items you can claim before they disappear. I use most of these myself, so let me walk you through what actually works in 2026.
The truth about “free V-Bucks codes”
Here is the part nobody on YouTube wants to say out loud: Epic does not release public codes that give free V-Bucks. Not this month, not last month, not ever. The only real Fortnite codes are single use codes that come with something you bought, like a V-Bucks card or a gift card from a shop. Once one is redeemed, it is dead.
That means every “working free V-Bucks codes list” you find is either made up or copied from other fake lists. And every generator site is worse than fake, it is a trap, and I will explain exactly how those traps work near the end of this guide. First, the good stuff.
1. The Battle Pass quietly pays for itself
This is the method most players already have in their hands without realising it. The current Battle Pass for Chapter 7 Season 4, the season called Override, costs 800 V-Bucks. If you play through it and claim the V-Bucks rewards inside, you can earn back up to 800 V-Bucks, which means the pass effectively pays for itself and your next season is covered too.
It used to be even better. Older passes gave you a profit on top. Epic changed the math in 2026, so now it breaks even instead. Still, break even is a good deal if you play regularly anyway.
And if you do not own the pass at all? The free track this season still includes 200 V-Bucks, in two rewards of 100 each. It is slow, it will not buy you a legendary skin, but it is real, it costs nothing, and it stacks up season after season. The current season ends on November 1, so there is still time to grab those rewards.
2. Fortnite Crew gives 800 V-Bucks every month
Fortnite Crew is Epic’s subscription, 11.99 dollars a month, and it drops 800 V-Bucks into your account every month you stay subscribed. On top of that you get the monthly Crew Pack outfit, access to all the passes (Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass) while you are subscribed, and Rocket Pass Premium in Rocket League.
One thing changed recently that some older guides have not caught up with: Crew used to give 1,000 V-Bucks a month, and Epic reduced it to 800 in 2026. If a guide still says 1,000, it is out of date.
Also worth knowing: if you already pay for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Fortnite Crew has been included with it since November 2025. Plenty of people are paying for Game Pass and never claimed the Crew benefits sitting in their account. Go check before you subscribe to anything twice.
3. Save the World: real V-Bucks, but only for old Founders
You will see this one in every free V-Bucks guide ever written, so let me give you the honest 2026 version. Save the World went free to play in April 2026, which sounds like great news. The catch is that V-Bucks earnings inside Save the World belong only to Founders, the players who bought a Founder’s Pack before Epic stopped selling them back in June 2020.
Founders still earn V-Bucks from daily quests (up to around 100 a day), daily login rewards, mission alerts and the Save the World quest line. Everyone else who plays Save the World earns X-Ray Tickets instead, which only work inside that mode.
So yes, this method is 100 percent real. It is also closed to new players, and no amount of grinding will open it. If a site tries to sell you a “Founder account” to get around this, walk away. Account trading breaks Epic’s rules and those sales are a scam half the time anyway.
4. Microsoft Rewards: the slow route that actually works
This one is not glamorous, but it is completely free and completely legit. Microsoft Rewards gives you points for things like searching on Bing, finishing daily quizzes and completing Xbox quests. You turn those points into an Xbox or Microsoft gift card, the money lands in your Microsoft account balance, and you buy V-Bucks with that balance inside Fortnite on Xbox.
There is no direct “swap points for V-Bucks” button, the gift card step in the middle is how it works. It takes patience, think weeks of small daily tasks rather than one big payday. But it is real money earned from a real company, and nobody’s account gets banned for it.
Free skins and items you can claim right now
V-Bucks are not the only free thing going. These are live as I write this in October 2026, and two of them expire on October 31, so do not sit on them.
Link your LEGO account, get two free outfits. Connect your Epic account to a LEGO account (LEGO Insiders is free to join) and you receive the Explorer Emilie and Mr. Dappermint outfits, each with a LEGO style too. Go to epicgames.com, open Account, then Apps and Accounts, and hit Connect on the LEGO option. There is no announced end date, but free things have a habit of vanishing quietly.
Link your MyDisney account before October 31. Linking a free MyDisney account to your Epic account gives you the Carbonite Fishstick back bling, a Fishstick frozen in carbonite, Star Wars style. The path is Account, then Linked Accounts, then the MyDisney logo. This one has a hard deadline of October 31, 2026, so it jumps the queue.
Finish the Fortnitemares quests. The Nitemare Quests running during Fortnitemares 2026 have 26 quests across Battle Royale, Horde Rush and Reload, and completing all 26 unlocks the Jack-A-Nape outfit for free. The event ends October 31. I covered the full event in our Fortnitemares 2026 guide if you want the quest details.
PlayStation Plus members: the Pond Protector Pack is free on the PlayStation Store right now, with the Pond Guardian Froggory outfit, a pickaxe and a back bling. Claim it on the store, launch Fortnite once on PlayStation, and it syncs to your account everywhere.
Two quick classics. The True Explorers Quest Pack in the Item Shop costs 0 V-Bucks and unlocks the Trailblazer Tai outfit after some LEGO Fortnite quests. And if you have never turned on two factor authentication for your Epic account, do it today. It protects your account and Epic gives you the Boogie Down emote for it.
The scams that are stealing accounts in 2026
Now the part that actually matters most. These are the traps I see players fall for every single week.
Generator sites. They ask for your username, show a fake loading bar, then demand you download apps or finish surveys to “verify you are human”. You never get V-Bucks. They get paid for your downloads, and sometimes you get malware as a bonus.
Fake login pages. A video or DM promises free V-Bucks and sends you to a page that looks exactly like Epic’s login. You type your password, and your account is theirs within the hour. This is how most stolen accounts actually happen.
Giveaway DMs and “Epic staff” messages. Epic staff will never DM you about free V-Bucks, and nobody from Epic will ever ask for your password. Ever. If the message says otherwise, it is a scammer wearing a costume.
Epic’s own position is simple: the only official Fortnite websites are epicgames.com and fortnite.com. V-Bucks only ever come from the in game store, official platform stores, official gift cards, and earning them in game. And if V-Bucks somehow arrive in an account through fraud or chargebacks, Epic takes them back and can take action on the account. The “deal” is never worth it.
Quick answers
Are free V-Bucks generators real? No. Not one of them. They exist to farm your clicks, your downloads and sometimes your login details.
Can I get a free V-Bucks code? There are no public free codes. Real codes are single use and come with a purchase, like a gift card.
How many V-Bucks does the free Battle Pass track give? This season, 200 V-Bucks, split into two rewards of 100.
Does Save the World still give free V-Bucks? Only to Founders from before June 2020. New players earn X-Ray Tickets instead.
What is the fastest legit way? Honestly, the Battle Pass paying for itself plus Fortnite Crew is the strongest combo for regular players. The free methods work, they are just slower, and anyone promising fast and free at the same time is selling you something.
That is the whole picture. No magic buttons, but real V-Bucks on the table for players who know where to look, and a locker full of free items if you grab the October ones before the 31st. While you are here, our guide to the Fortnite x FNAF skins and prices is worth a look before that collab leaves the shop, and the v42.40 update guide covers what is landing on October 15. Play smart, keep your password to yourself, and I will see you on the island.

Fortnite The Purge Skin Is in the Item Shop: Lady Liberty Arrives for Fortnitemares

The Purge skin is live in the Fortnite Item Shop right now. The Purge Bundle arrived with the shop reset at 5:00 AM Pakistan time today, Sunday October 18, as part of Fortnitemares 2026. It brings the Lady Liberty outfit from The Purge: Election Year, plus four more items, for 2,000 V-Bucks as a bundle. Bought at full price, the items add up to 2,800 V-Bucks, so the bundle cuts 800 V-Bucks off. The bundle stays in the shop until October 28, 2026 at 5:00 AM Pakistan time.
I checked Epic’s official Item Shop page myself this morning after the reset before writing a word, because the early schedule posts only guessed at this price. The 2,000 V-Bucks figure below is the price the shop itself shows, not a leak.
How to get the Lady Liberty skin
There is no quest or challenge you need to finish to buy this skin today. The Item Shop is the way in.
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop tab.
- Look for The Purge section, near the top of today’s shop.
- Pick the full The Purge Bundle for 2,000 V-Bucks, or buy the Lady Liberty outfit on its own if that is all you want.
- Confirm the purchase and the items land in your Locker straight away.
Some players already own Lady Liberty before the shop drop. The Lady Liberty Cup ran on Saturday October 17, and the top 700 players in each region earned the Lady Liberty outfit and the Purge Drone back bling early. Anyone who earned 8 points in the Cup picked up the Purge Mask emoticon. That Cup has finished now, so if you missed it, the shop is your route.
If your balance is short, our guide to getting free V-Bucks in Fortnite covers the honest routes that work, and the scams to avoid.
What is in The Purge Bundle?
The bundle holds 5 items in total. Here is the full list, exactly as the shop shows it.
- Lady Liberty (Outfit), 1,500 V-Bucks on its own, and that offer includes the Purge Drone back bling as a bonus
- Purge Drone (Back Bling), 300 V-Bucks on its own
- Liberty’s Purge Torch (Pickaxe), 500 V-Bucks
- Electrified Flex (Emote), 300 V-Bucks
- Purge Counter (Wrap), 500 V-Bucks
Lady Liberty is the headline piece. The outfit takes its look from The Purge: Election Year, with the crown and torch that make the character easy to spot in a lobby. The Purge Counter wrap is a neat extra, as the shop lists it as damage reactive and elim reactive, so it changes as your match goes on.
How long does The Purge skin stay in the shop?
Epic’s shop page says the bundle is purchasable until October 28, 2026 at 5:00 AM local time. That gives you ten days from today, the same window the Hazbin Hotel bundle got. Still, collab skins leave on schedule and nobody can promise when, or if, this set comes back after that date. If Lady Liberty is the one skin you have been waiting for since the Fortnitemares trailer, I would not leave it to the last night.
The Purge is one part of a busy Halloween run. Our full Fortnitemares 2026 guide tracks every collab, boss and reward in the event, and yesterday’s Hazbin Hotel skins post covers the other big collab bundle sitting in the shop right now.
Is the bundle worth 2,000 V-Bucks?
My honest take: if Lady Liberty is the skin you want, the bundle is the better buy. The outfit alone costs 1,500 V-Bucks, so for 500 more you get the torch pickaxe, the emote and the wrap on top of the outfit and its back bling. If you only want the look and nothing else, buy the outfit on its own and save the rest of your balance for the next Fortnitemares drop.
Frequently asked questions
How much is The Purge Bundle in Fortnite?
The bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks. The items inside add up to 2,800 V-Bucks at full price, so the bundle saves 800 V-Bucks.
How much is the Lady Liberty outfit on its own?
The Lady Liberty outfit costs 1,500 V-Bucks on its own, and that offer includes the Purge Drone back bling.
Was there a free way to get the Lady Liberty skin?
Yes, but that window has closed. The Lady Liberty Cup ran on Saturday October 17, and the top 700 players in each region earned the outfit and the Purge Drone back bling early. Players who earned 8 points got the Purge Mask emoticon.
Is The Purge skin in the Battle Pass?
No. Lady Liberty is an Item Shop outfit. It is not part of the Battle Pass.
When does The Purge skin leave the Fortnite shop?
Epic lists the bundle as purchasable until October 28, 2026 at 5:00 AM Pakistan time. After that it rotates out, and Epic has not announced a return date.

Epic has not said. Collab skins often return months later, but there is no confirmed return date, so do not count on a quick return if this is a skin you really want.

Fortnite Yeat Icon Series Bundle Is in the Item Shop for 3,600 V-Bucks
The Yeat Icon Series set is live in the Fortnite Item Shop right now. Epic announced the collab on October 14 with the Real Lyfe trailer, and the full set dropped on October 16 at 5:00 AM Pakistan time (October 15 at 8:00 PM ET). The headline number is confirmed from Epic’s own shop listing: the Yeat Bundle costs 3,600 V-Bucks, discounted from a 7,300 V-Bucks combined list price.
This is Yeat’s first full Icon Series set. He has had Icon emotes in the game before, but never his own outfits. The drop lands in the middle of Fortnitemares 2026 and right alongside the v42.40 update, so the shop is stacked this week.
What is in the Yeat bundle
The 3,600 V-Bucks bundle, per Epic’s official shop page, includes:
- Yeat outfit
- Twizz outfit
- Nike x Yeat Air Max Goadome Kicks (Lyfestyle Corporation)
- Lyfestyle Eye back bling
- The Bell back bling
- Bell Flail pickaxe
- Aura Transfer emote
- Luh Dumptruck emote
- Up 2 Mic microphone (Festival instrument)
- A Dangerous Wrap wrap
- If We Being Real Jam Track
One outfit keeps Yeat’s real look: beanie, sunglasses, chains and an all black fit. The second goes full Fortnite, a green skeleton style with glowing eyes that fits the Fortnitemares mood perfectly. One outfit has an alternate style and the other a reactive style.
How much does the Yeat bundle cost
The bundle is 3,600 V-Bucks in the live shop, down from 7,300 V-Bucks if the items were bought at their separate list prices. That price is now confirmed on Epic’s official Item Shop page for the Yeat Bundle; it is not an estimate. The other two Jam Tracks, Get Busy and Money So Big, are separate shop items, not part of this bundle; Jam Tracks normally sell for 500 V-Bucks each, and Get Busy is listed at 500 in today’s shop.
When does Yeat leave the shop
The Yeat cosmetics are reported to stay in the shop until October 31 at 8:00 PM ET, which is the end of Fortnitemares and the current season. That gives you about two weeks from the drop, but after October 31 Yeat leaves the map as well, so do not leave the free quest below to the last day either.
There is also a free Yeat Jam Track from a quest
Yeat is also standing on the island as an NPC, and talking to him starts a short quest that pays out a Jam Track for free, no V-Bucks needed. The reward is the HeliMan Jam Track, added straight to your Locker when you finish. One thing to do first: grab the free Quest Pack from the Item Shop before you drop into a match, because talking to Yeat will not start the bell objective without it.
Yeat stands on the mountain between Nightmare Neighborhood and Wonkeeland, directly north of Reality’s Reign, right next to the tall zipline tower. Talk to him there and a 3 minute timer starts. You need to collect 5 Bells around the tower area and bring them back to him before the timer runs out:
- Red Bell: below the Ascender, on the south side of the tower
- Green Bell: behind the Battle Bus, on the west side
- Silver Bell: on top of the building, on the east side
- Blue Bell: on the first platform of the zipline tower
- Glitter Bell: at the very top of the zipline tower
Drop straight onto the tower and start the quest early in the match, before the storm moves. Each bell makes a soft hum when you are close, which helps more than staring at the map. If you get eliminated mid run, you have to restart the quest, but any XP you earned on the failed run still counts. The quest itself runs until October 31, the same day the season ends.
Quick questions
When did the Yeat skin release?
October 16 at 5:00 AM in Pakistan (October 15 at 8:00 PM ET, 1:00 AM in the UK, 2:00 AM in Central Europe). It is in the Item Shop now.
How much is the Yeat bundle?
3,600 V-Bucks, confirmed on Epic’s official shop listing, discounted from 7,300 V-Bucks combined list price.
What Jam Tracks come with Yeat?
Three tracks in total: If We Being Real is inside the bundle. Get Busy and Money So Big are separate shop items.
Is Yeat part of Fortnitemares?
The set drops during Fortnitemares 2026, and one outfit has a skeleton style that matches the event, but it is an Icon Series release, not a Fortnitemares skin.
How do I get the free Yeat Jam Track?
Pick up the free Quest Pack from the Item Shop, then find Yeat north of Reality’s Reign by the zipline tower, talk to him, collect the 5 Bells nearby and return them before the 3 minute timer ends. The reward is the HeliMan Jam Track, and the quest is available until October 31.
When does Yeat leave Fortnite?
The bundle and the quest are both reported to run until October 31 at 8:00 PM ET, when the current season ends.
For everything else that changed this week, our v42.40 update post covers the Honey and Obsession Sprites, and the rarest Fortnite skins list shows where a reactive Icon style could end up one day.
The newest Fortnitemares collab is covered in our Hazbin Hotel Fortnite skins post.

Fortnite Hazbin Hotel Skins Are in the Item Shop: Charlie, Vaggie and Alastor

The Hazbin Hotel skins are live in the Fortnite Item Shop right now. The bundle arrived with the shop reset at 5:00 AM Pakistan time today, Saturday October 17, as part of Fortnitemares 2026. It brings three outfits, Princess Charlie Morningstar, Vagatha and Alastor, plus 14 more items, for 4,000 V-Bucks as a bundle. Bought one by one, everything in it adds up to 10,900 V-Bucks, so Epic is cutting 6,900 V-Bucks off the full price. The bundle stays in the shop until October 27, 2026 at 5:00 AM Pakistan time.
I checked the shop myself this morning before writing a single word, because the early leaks got a few prices wrong. Alastor costs more than the leakers guessed, and the kicks in the shop are not named what the leak posts said they were. Everything below comes from Epic’s own Item Shop page, item by item.
How to get the Hazbin Hotel skins
There is no quest and no challenge tied to these skins. If you want them, the Item Shop is the only way.
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop tab.
- Look at the top section, labelled Hazbin Hotel. It is the first section in today’s shop.
- Pick the full Hazbin Hotel Bundle for 4,000 V-Bucks, or buy a single outfit on its own if only one character matters to you.
- Confirm the purchase and the items land in your Locker straight away.
If your V-Bucks balance is short, our guide to getting free V-Bucks in Fortnite covers the honest routes that actually work, and the ones that are scams.
What is in the Hazbin Hotel Bundle?
The bundle holds 17 items in total. Here is the full list, exactly as the shop shows it.
Outfits
- Princess Charlie Morningstar, 1,500 V-Bucks on its own
- Vagatha, 1,500 V-Bucks on its own
- Alastor, 1,800 V-Bucks on its own
Back Bling
- Alastor’s Radio, 500 V-Bucks
- KeeKee, 600 V-Bucks
- Vagatha’s Wings, 400 V-Bucks
Pickaxes
- Alastor’s Staff, 800 V-Bucks
- Charlie’s Trident, 500 V-Bucks
- Vagatha’s Spear, 500 V-Bucks
Emotes
- Alastor’s Scheme, 500 V-Bucks
- A Happy Day…, 500 V-Bucks
Kicks, Wrap, Instruments and Jam Tracks
- Alastor’s Smile Slippers (Kicks), 1,000 V-Bucks
- Hazbin Grin (Wrap), 500 V-Bucks
- Alastor’s Ivories (Keytar), 800 V-Bucks
- Morningstar’s Mic (Microphone), 800 V-Bucks
- Hell’s Greatest Dad (Jam Track), 500 V-Bucks
- Happy Day in Hell (Jam Track), 500 V-Bucks
How long do the Hazbin Hotel skins stay in the shop?
Epic’s shop page says the bundle is purchasable until October 27, 2026 at 5:00 AM local time. That gives you ten days from today, which is more generous than most Fortnitemares collabs this year. Still, collab skins leave on schedule and nobody can promise when, or if, this set comes back after that date. If Charlie or Alastor is the one skin you have been waiting for since the Fortnitemares trailer, I would not leave it to the last night.
Hazbin Hotel is one stop in a packed Halloween event. Our full Fortnitemares 2026 guide tracks every collab, boss and reward in the event if you want the whole picture.
Is the bundle worth 4,000 V-Bucks?
My honest take: if you want two or three of the outfits, the bundle is an easy yes. Three outfits alone would cost you 4,800 V-Bucks bought separately, which is already more than the whole bundle, and the bundle then throws in the emotes, the Jam Tracks and everything else on top. If you only care about one character, buy that outfit on its own and save the rest of your balance. Alastor at 1,800 V-Bucks is the pricey one, but he is also the skin I expect to see in every lobby this week.
Frequently asked questions
