The GTA Online weekly update for October 29 to November 4 is the final week of Rockstar’s October Halloween run, and it is also the hardest Survival challenge of the month. Complete 10 waves in a Survival without dying and Rockstar pays you GTA$250,000 plus the Slasher Clown Outfit. Rockstar lists the Brown Vintage Skull Mask and the Halloween Chute Bag as the free items for this period. If you have completed every October weekly challenge so far, this is the last one standing between you and an extra GTA$2,000,000, delivered within 72 hours of completion.

One honest note on the source, because it matters this week. No separate October 29 article was visible on the Rockstar Newswire at the morning check on October 29. Everything in this post comes straight from Rockstar’s October 1 Halloween article on the Newswire, which sets out the full October run including this final October 29 to November 4 period. That is also why this post is careful about dates: some bonuses in that article are month-long October rates, and they are described here as running through October 31, not stretched into November.

Last week was the practice run. Last week’s update for October 22 to 28 paid GTA$150,000 plus the Gray Space Interloper Outfit for clearing all waves of a Survival, with dying allowed. This week dying is the whole difference. Ten waves is already a long run, and doing it clean takes a steady team, a safe spot, and the patience not to chase a kill you do not need.

What is the GTA Online Weekly Challenge for October 29 to November 4?

Complete 10 waves in a Survival without dying. Do that between October 29 and November 4 and you get the Slasher Clown Outfit plus GTA$250,000. My pick is doing it inside a Halloween Survival, because those pay 3X GTA$ and RP through October 31 anyway, so the same run earns the challenge reward and the boosted payout at once on the October days. The Ludendorff Cemetery Survival in snowy North Yankton is the atmospheric one, and Cayo Perico Survival and the Alien Survivals count for the bonus list too.

The challenge also matters because of the streak. Completing every weekly challenge in Rockstar’s October run, which ends November 4, pays an extra GTA$2,000,000, delivered within 72 hours of completion. This is the final challenge in that run. If you missed an earlier week, you cannot fix the streak now, but the Slasher Clown Outfit and GTA$250,000 are still worth the run on their own.

What do you get free just for playing this week?

The Brown Vintage Skull Mask and the Halloween Chute Bag. Rockstar lists both as the free items for October 29 to November 4. Play GTA Online at any point in that period to claim them, with no challenge and no purchase attached in Rockstar’s October article.

What pays 3X GTA$ and RP this week?

Two different date ranges, so read this part carefully. The Community Race Series pays 3X GTA$ and RP through November 4, including its Halloween tracks such as the Zombie Town Circuit. That is the one 3X rate Rockstar clearly extends across the whole October 29 to November 4 period.

Through October 31, the month-long Halloween rates still run as well. Halloween Survivals pay 3X GTA$ and RP, covering Ludendorff Cemetery Survival, Cayo Perico Survival and Alien Survivals. Slasher modes in the Featured Series also pay 3X, including the version aboard the Ramius submarine, where one player stalks the rest with a shotgun and everyone else gets a flashlight and three nervous minutes. The San Andreas Super Sport Series pays 3X too, across Hotring Races and Random Transform Races. Rockstar’s October article does not extend those month-long rates into November 1 to 4, so this post does not claim them for those days.

What pays 2X GTA$ and RP through October 31?

Bail Office Standard and Most Wanted Targets pay 2X GTA$ and RP, and so does Dispatch Work for Vincent. UFO Business Battles, where you pull Spaceship Parts out of Fort Zancudo, pay 2X GTA$ and RP as well, and collecting Jack O’ Lanterns pays 2X. Ghosts Exposed pays 2X GTA$ for photographing the apparitions around Los Santos, and if you photograph all 10 spirits you also earn the Ghosts Exposed Jacket. These are all October-long rates in Rockstar’s article, so they are listed here through October 31 only. If you want money methods that keep working after the Halloween bonuses end, our guide on how to make money in GTA Online covers the businesses worth owning.

What is discounted in GTA Online this week?

Rockstar’s Halloween discounts put five vehicles at 40 percent off: the LCC Sanctus motorcycle, the Albany Brigham, the Albany Lurcher, the Albany Fränken Stange and the Declasse Tornado Rat Rod. They are seasonal toys more than money makers, but if you have wanted a Sanctus for your Halloween garage, this is the cheapest it gets in Rockstar’s October list. One honest note: Rockstar’s October Newswire post does not name a Diamond Casino podium vehicle or an LS Car Meet Prize Ride for this period, so we are not listing one here rather than guessing.

What else is happening around Los Santos this week?

The Halloween haunts are still loose in Rockstar’s October article. Clone Slasher is back, the driverless Phantom Car, a Declasse Tornado Custom with nobody behind the wheel, is roaming again, Peyote Plants are growing across Southern San Andreas, and Slashers are stalking the streets between events. And if you are counting down to launch day like the rest of us, our GTA 6 news coverage tracks everything Rockstar has confirmed. Story mode player instead? I will be honest, Survivals are not how I usually spend my evenings in Los Santos. Ten waves can drag when a teammate wanders off to admire the scenery. But this is the one week where finishing a Survival actually matters beyond the normal payout, because it also protects a streak that is worth far more than the outfit.

Rockstar did not tease this one for weeks. On Thursday, October 15, the official GTA 6 launch trailer simply appeared, 90 seconds of in-game footage captured on PS5, one month before the game lands on November 19. It reportedly passed 22 million views within about a day, and honestly, watching it twice back to back, that number is easy to believe.

Here is the short version. The trailer opens in the Leonida Keys and follows Jason and Lucia through heists, a helicopter escape and the moment their easy score falls apart. Rockstar’s own story description says the pair get pulled into a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida and are forced to rely on each other if they want to survive it. The soundtrack song is “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. And yes, the release date still holds: Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.

What does the GTA 6 launch trailer actually show?

The footage is all in-game capture from a PS5, which is worth saying out loud, because it means the lighting, the water and the crowded streets are the game itself, not a rendered commercial. The trailer opens in the Leonida Keys, the island chain at the bottom of the map, then moves fast: robberies, police pressure, and a helicopter escape sequence that several breakdowns keep replaying. If you want the geography behind those shots, our GTA 6 map guide covers Leonida’s confirmed regions.

What is the story setup this time?

Rockstar’s description of the trailer keeps it simple. Jason and Lucia take on what should be an easy score, it goes wrong, and suddenly the two of them are in the middle of a conspiracy that stretches across Leonida. The trailer leans hard on the idea that neither of them gets out alone. It is a Bonnie and Clyde setup, but the footage shows the reliance part more than the romance part, which is a more interesting choice.

What do we learn about Jason and Lucia?

Two details stand out. Jason’s part shows his background in the Army, and the trailer makes clear he did not leave on the best of terms. Lucia’s part opens with a call from Lucia Caminos, and in one shot an ankle tag is visible on her. What that tag means is still unconfirmed. Plenty of fans read it as a parole detail, and outlets like Escapist flag it the same way, as speculation rather than fact. We are treating it the same way here: it is in the trailer, the meaning is not confirmed, and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.

What is the song in the launch trailer?

The track is “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, the electronic duo composing the game’s score, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It debuts in this trailer and belongs to “Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album”, which Rockstar says is available to pre-save on streaming services, with vinyl and CD pre-orders open. GTA trailers have a habit of sending their songs up the charts, so do not be surprised when this one follows.

When does GTA 6 come out, and what does it cost?

Nothing about the date changed with the trailer. GTA 6 launches Thursday, November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-load starting November 12. The standard edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate edition is $99.99. Our release date post tracks every official date announcement, the price and editions guide breaks down what each version includes, and the pre-order guide covers where to secure a copy. There is still no announced PC release date, whatever the rumour accounts are posting this week.
